Denver, CO—The Catholic Alliance, a strategic fundraising organization and a charitable giving advisor in northern Colorado, today announced its continued investment in executive talent and ministry support with the hiring of Bob Gross as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gross is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in finance and operations, most recently serving as COO of NexCore Group, a private healthcare real estate development and investment management company.
As COO at The Alliance, Mr. Gross will assist the President and CEO Deacon Steve Stemper. He will serve in the newly-formed position until December 2017.

Mr. Gross comes to The Alliance after retiring from NexCore Group three years ago. An accountant by training, Mr. Gross earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Minnesota State University. He holds a Certified Public Accountant license and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His early career included working for BetaWest, a Denver-based national commercial real estate development and investment company, serving in positions from manager of finance to executive vice president. He later held various executive roles, including chief financial officer for The Neenan Company, a Fort Collins-based design, construction and development company.
In 2004, Mr. Gross co-founded NexCore Group. He served as chief financial officer until taking the company public through a reverse merger in 2010, and then assumed the role of chief operating officer. NexCore is now privately held.
With more than 27 years of real estate experience in various operational, management, finance, acquisition and disposition capacities, Mr. Gross has been involved in structuring and closing more than $4 billion in acquisitions, dispositions and financing of commercial and healthcare real estate.
He is active in various local charities and serves on the parish finance council at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Parish in Lakewood. He lives in Denver with his wife and family.
