Our Leadership Team
Our senior leadership team has more than 150 years of combined experience in charitable, estate, and tax planning, development, and marketing and communications.
As COO, Mr. Gross comes to The Catholic Alliance after retiring from NexCore Group three years ago. An accountant by training, Mr. Gross earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Minnesota State University. He holds a Certified Public Accountant license and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Beth is the Executive Vice President at the Catholic Alliance. The best part of Beth’s job is living out her faith on a daily basis while knowing we are helping those in our community who have some kind of need. Her favorite scripture verse is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Jennifer Thompson previously held the position of Associate Dean of External Relations at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver.
Before that, she had a long history with the non-profit organization, Up with People, where she started as a student cast member. Eventually, Jennifer became the Vice President for External Relations where she oversaw a $45 million campaign which included moving UWP’s headquarters from Tucson to Denver.
A native of Boulder, CO, Jennifer has a BS in Management from the University of Phoenix. She is a current member of the University of Denver’s Women’s Leadership Council and volunteers on the community relations committee of Good Samaritan Hospital in Louisville, CO.
Rebecca Kessler has enjoyed an extensive public relations and marketing career working mostly with Fortune 300 companies, to include her previous position with Xcel Energy.
She began as Public Relations Director for the American Red Cross in Chattanooga, TN, where she oversaw campaigns, events and financial development. She was later named Copy Chief for ARS Advertising, responsible for in-store marketing of America’s favorite household appliance brands, including sales training for big box retailers.
Rebecca holds a BA in Communications and a minor in Consumer Science, University of Alabama. She serves on the stewardship council of her parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary. She and her husband, Marty, are parents to three sons and one daughter.
Michelle Fehn currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for The Catholic Foundation. She has a broad range of experience in all aspects of accounting and business processes. Michelle began her career as a certified public accountant with KPMG- Peat Marwick in its Denver office. She later worked with the Jones Companies for over 12 years, first as a tax senior for the cable subsidiary and later as a controller for a software development subsidiary.
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where she majored in accounting. She and her husband, Brad, are members of St. Thomas More Parish in Centennial and have three daughters.
As the VP of Information Technology, Jason manages technology and any relationships regarding technology for the Catholic Alliance and The Catholic Foundation. He also manages two teams of people who assist our generous donors. The best part of Jason’s job is being able to integrate his faith into his daily work while serving God, his family and the community. His favorite scripture verse is from John during the Wedding at Cana when Mary tells the servants, “Do whatever He tells you,” John 2:5. It is a reminder to submit to His will and be willing to serve.
